No-Stone in a Nutshell

What do we do

No-Stone in a Nutshell

Welcome to The No-Stone Foundation, where community empowerment and positive transformation are at the heart of everything we do. With a relentless commitment to nurturing growth, knowledge, and well-being, we proudly present a snapshot of our dynamic projects and partnerships:

Feeding Scheme – Nourishing Futures: No-Stone is doing its part to ensure no one goes hungry. Through a collaboration with Daily Bread Feeding, we provide essential nourishment to approximately 350-500 school goers and elderly members of our community. This partnership fosters health and vitality for a brighter tomorrow.

Computer Literacy for School Goers: Partnering with the Learning Empowerment Network, No-Stone is equipping school goers with essential computer literacy skills. We believe that access to technology is a pathway to a world of knowledge and opportunities.

Reading and Remedial Reading Programme: No-Stone embraces literacy through a collaboration with the Nalibali programme. We are dedicated to supporting young minds, nurturing a love for reading and learning among our youth, and building a strong foundation for lifelong success.

Sewing Classes – Stitching Dreams: Within the walls of No-Stone House, we offer sewing classes that empower individuals to bring their creative visions to life. With 7 sewing machines, we provide hands-on skills and foster a sense of accomplishment.

Woodworking Skills: Crafting Excellence: The No-Stone Foundation’s woodworking program enables participants to hone their craftsmanship and creativity. Through hands-on experiences, we are shaping skilled artisans and fostering a sense of pride in their work.

Building a Community Library – Unveiling Knowledge: In our unwavering commitment to education, we are embarking on the journey to establish a community library. This space will be a sanctuary of learning, where minds can explore, imagine, and grow.

Dance for School Goers: Expressing Joy and Movement: Through our vibrant dance program, school goers have the opportunity to express themselves, stay active, and discover the joy of movement. It’s a celebration of self-expression and unity through dance.

Community Garden Training Venue: Cultivating Sustainability: No-Stone’s community garden training venue is a hub of growth and sustainability. We believe in nurturing green thumbs and empowering individuals to cultivate their own nutritious produce.

Weekly Shop for Donated Clothes – Providing Essentials for All: Recognizing the essential need for clothing, No-Stone offers a weekly shop for small contributions. The people of our village can access quality clothing without financial strain, ensuring that everyone has access to basic necessities.

Radio Kalbaskraal – Amplifying Voices: We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of Radio Kalbaskraal in collaboration with WRFM. Once licensing is secured, we will broadcast from No-Stone House. Our aim is to establish a community radio station that covers local events and broadcasts live from some of them. Radio Kalbaskraal will be a platform for sharing stories, news, and connecting the community.

Our impact doesn’t stop here. We extend our reach through meaningful collaboration:

  • Animal Rescue Collaboration: Compassion in Action: In partnership with two dedicated animal rescue organizations, we extend our compassion to the animal kingdom, promoting their well-being and safety.
  • Online Mentorship Programme – Guiding Paths to Success: In collaboration with experienced mentors, No-Stone extends its support beyond physical boundaries. Our online mentorship program provides invaluable guidance, enabling individuals to chart their paths to success, wherever they may be.
  • Collaboration with Online Recruitment Company – Connecting Futures: Through our collaboration with an esteemed online recruitment company, we bridge the gap between job seekers and opportunities, facilitating connections that pave the way for brighter futures.
  • Creche for Farm Workers’ Children: Nurturing Tomorrow’s Leaders: We support a creche that cares for the children of farm workers, ensuring a nurturing environment where young minds can thrive.
  • Sports Programmes: Fostering Team Spirit: Through sports, we instill valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and determination. Our sports programs promote holistic growth and well-being.

These initiatives are just a glimpse into the dynamic tapestry of The No-Stone Foundation’s efforts. We are also proud to launch ad-hoc projects each month, addressing emerging needs and challenges head-on. Together, we are shaping a community of empowered individuals, fostering a brighter future for Kalbaskraal and beyond.

No-Stone House

Has moved to Skool Street. Come and see Saskia's Place, the library or come and watch the reading programmes take place. OR if you would like to sit in at Jo's Cafe' a place of safety where young people can just come and be. We will start soon with out Saturday morning programmes.

Our Team

The team has a mix of youth and experience, energy and wisdom. The bulk of the team live in Kalbaskraal. Again, this is headed up by Heike (with 24 yrs of outreach ministry experience) and Mark (40 yrs of coaching at various levels and sports). We can then add Jo-Anne with her 30 years of ministry and outreach.

Our Relationships

We have strong relationships with many ministries and companies. Each supporting us in various ways and in Kalbaskraal and out. Our prime focus is to be a complete service provider for the local primary school OJ Erasmus, and sourcing any resources that they require. Keep in mind that this is a model we are building to move onto other rural schools in the Swartland.
