A Place for Community, Compassion, and Collaboration
No-Stone Foundation has recently taken occupancy of a house on Main Road Kalbaskraal, and it is not just any house. It is going to be called No-Stone House, a place where people can come together, share their stories, and create positive change in their community. This initiative is aligned with the Foundation’s mission to support vulnerable groups and promote social development in South Africa.
The location of No-Stone House is perfect for running several projects that will benefit the community and create a safe space for people to meet and engage in various activities. These projects have been designed with the aim of addressing some of the most pressing needs of the community and offering practical solutions to them.
One of the main objectives of No-Stone House is to establish the Daily Bread Feeding Scheme for older and young folks in the community. Starting from tomorrow, 3rd April, the scheme will be feeding from No-Stone House until further notice. This initiative will provide a nutritious meal to those who are struggling to put food on the table.
However, much work needs to go into the house before it can fully serve its purpose. Nevertheless, it is perfect for what we need right now, and the team is committed to making it a welcoming and functional space.
The house will also set up a digital center and run a free Wi-Fi hotspot for the village, providing access to information and technology to those who might not have it. Another important objective is to create an office for a social worker/trauma counselor/child psychologist to practice from. This will offer a safe and supportive environment for those who need emotional and mental health support.
The house will also provide Chocolate’s Animal Rescue with a centralized location to supply food and offer a venue for No-Stone partners and associates for other events. No-Stone House aims to create a space for everyone, including young children who can do their homework and receive help in a safe and supportive environment. It will run workshops of all forms and needs, host the women’s, men’s, couple’s breakfasts that will take place on Saturday mornings, and run Kalbaskraal Radio from.
The house will also explore the possibilities of a recycling business, providing a sustainable and eco-friendly solution to waste management. It will provide excess produce from Ellie’s Patch in the form of veggies, eggs, and fish, promoting healthy and sustainable living.
All these initiatives have been planned with careful consideration of their impact on the community and their sustainability in the long run. The implementation plan is in place, and the team is committed to making No-Stone House a success.
No-Stone House is not just a house; it is a symbol of community, compassion, and collaboration. It is a place where people can come together to create positive change and build a better future for themselves and their children. We invite you to join us on this journey and be a part of something meaningful and impactful.
