A Heartwarming Gesture

Posted on 9 August 20239 August 2023 by Admin

Celebrating Unity and Gratitude in Kalbaskraal

At The No-Stone Foundation, our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those in our beloved Kalbaskraal community is unwavering. Our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly day in and day out, driven by a shared belief in the power of kindness and the potential for change. While our focus has always been on serving others without expecting recognition, there are moments that touch our hearts and remind us why we do what we do.

In a world where a simple act of kindness can brighten even the darkest days, our volunteers have been the guiding lights for the people of Kalbaskraal. With humility and empathy, they’ve worked diligently to improve the lives of those around them. It’s not a job for them; it’s a calling that stems from a deep love for our community and a desire to foster positive change.

Volunteering isn’t always glamorous; it involves hard work, long hours, and a level of selflessness that few can truly comprehend. Our volunteers have faced challenges head-on, weathering the storms and celebrating the victories, all the while fueled by their passion and the knowledge that every small effort contributes to something greater.

But amidst the dedicated efforts and selfless service, it’s easy for the world to overlook the often thankless work our volunteers do. That’s why a recent incident brought tears of gratitude to our eyes and warmth to our hearts. One of our own, a fellow villager who wished to remain anonymous, decided to recognize the unwavering dedication of our volunteers in the most heartwarming way possible.

Earlier today, our volunteers gathered together not just as a group working toward a common goal, but as a family bound by shared purpose. As they sat down to enjoy a sumptuous lunch, a gesture of appreciation left everyone humbled and deeply touched. It was a moment of unity, a tangible reminder that the impact we make isn’t measured solely in the lives we touch, but in the connections we forge.

To the anonymous donor, we extend our heartfelt gratitude. Your gesture of kindness speaks volumes, showing us that the ripple effect of our efforts extends far beyond the immediate community. Your recognition of our volunteers reminds us that every small action, whether seen or unseen, contributes to a world filled with compassion and understanding.

And to our incredible volunteers, you are the beating heart of The No-Stone Foundation. Your dedication, resilience, and empathy continue to inspire us all. It’s easy to forget that while you work selflessly, there are moments when the universe conspires to remind you that your efforts are cherished, valued, and deeply meaningful.

As we reflect on this heartwarming feast and the love that binds our community, we’re reminded that unity and gratitude can truly transform lives. Together, as a family driven by a shared mission, we’ll continue to work towards a brighter future for Kalbaskraal. Thank you, dear volunteers, for being the embodiment of change and hope. Your impact is immeasurable, and you are truly a special group of people.

As we move forward, we do so with your teachings as our guiding light and your passion as our motivation, Jo-Anne. Your unwavering dedication has been the cornerstone of positive change in Kalbaskraal, and we are forever grateful for your presence in our journey.

No-Stone House

Has moved to Skool Street. Come and see Saskia's Place, the library or come and watch the reading programmes take place. OR if you would like to sit in at Jo's Cafe' a place of safety where young people can just come and be. We will start soon with out Saturday morning programmes.

Our Team

The team has a mix of youth and experience, energy and wisdom. The bulk of the team live in Kalbaskraal. Again, this is headed up by Heike (with 24 yrs of outreach ministry experience) and Mark (40 yrs of coaching at various levels and sports). We can then add Jo-Anne with her 30 years of ministry and outreach.

Our Relationships

We have strong relationships with many ministries and companies. Each supporting us in various ways and in Kalbaskraal and out. Our prime focus is to be a complete service provider for the local primary school OJ Erasmus, and sourcing any resources that they require. Keep in mind that this is a model we are building to move onto other rural schools in the Swartland.
