The Next Chapter.
Exciting news is brewing in our humble village of Kalbaskraal! We’ve recently made a significant move that aligns perfectly with our mission and vision. Saskia’s place has transitioned from No-Stone House to the No-Stone Campus, nestled in the heart of Skool Street.
This move comes with a multitude of reasons, the foremost being our imminent departure from No-Stone House at the end of January. We’ve found a venue even more suited to our goals, and it goes by the name of No-Stone Campus—a former Pre-School that boasts two full-sized classrooms, a storage room, and a separate building that will serve as our kitchen.
What does this mean for our community? It means more space, more opportunities, and more ways to fulfill our commitment to the children of Kalbaskraal. The small separate building will be transformed into a kitchen where we’ll prepare sandwiches and juice for the young people who join us after school. Additionally, during the holiday period, it will serve as a safe haven, ensuring a nurturing environment for all.
But fear not, our plans to provide a comfortable reading space with tables and chairs, along with complimentary juice or coffee, remain intact. No-Stone Campus is adorned with shade, trees, and ample space for everyone to enjoy. Our librarian, Lauren, will be ready tomorrow with a daily program designed for kids to find solace and safety within our walls.
We invite you all to join us on this new adventure, to meet the dedicated individuals behind the scenes—Anine, fondly known as Teach; Coach, whom we affectionately call [insert name]; Oom Gert; Aunti Jo; Hannetjie; and Going. These wonderful souls have committed another year as volunteers, embodying the spirit of giving without expecting anything in return.
Come, support, say hi, and witness the No-Stone spirit in action. Let’s build a slightly better future for the kids of Kalbaskraal together. See you at No-Stone Campus!
But wait, there is more….
Hold onto your hats because tomorrow at No-Stone Campus is going to be epic! We’ve got two fantastic guests dropping by—Robyn, a globe-trotting teacher, and Anke-Louise, a recent graduate hailing from the heart of Cape Town.
Robyn, with her tales from around the world, is ready to share stories and connect with the kids. It’s not every day you get to learn from someone who’s seen so much!
And then there’s Anke-Louise, bringing a fresh perspective all the way from Cape Town. She’s just finished studying and is excited to dive in, share her skills, and make a positive impact.
Tomorrow is your chance to meet these incredible individuals, so swing by No-Stone Campus, say hi, and let’s make it a day filled with laughter, learning, and community spirit.
