Maintenance time

Posted on 24 November 202224 November 2022 by Admin

One of the dilemmas we face here, is that the men that we are teaching and developing, in our workshop, are very very hard on the machines.

This brings us to the place of maintenance, but then there is always the issue of budget and allocation.

Here we have our guy, Gerswin, replacing a switch on the drum sander and the smile and laughter is clearly because it worked as it should and fitted in the cavity left from the broken switch, and in doing so, a machine that had been out of service for almost 2 weeks is back up and running.

This is just a small shout out to a huge person, Bruce at Power Tool Services, whom is always willing to assist where possible and in doing so, making things possible.

No-Stone House

Has moved to Skool Street. Come and see Saskia's Place, the library or come and watch the reading programmes take place. OR if you would like to sit in at Jo's Cafe' a place of safety where young people can just come and be. We will start soon with out Saturday morning programmes.

Our Team

The team has a mix of youth and experience, energy and wisdom. The bulk of the team live in Kalbaskraal. Again, this is headed up by Heike (with 24 yrs of outreach ministry experience) and Mark (40 yrs of coaching at various levels and sports). We can then add Jo-Anne with her 30 years of ministry and outreach.

Our Relationships

We have strong relationships with many ministries and companies. Each supporting us in various ways and in Kalbaskraal and out. Our prime focus is to be a complete service provider for the local primary school OJ Erasmus, and sourcing any resources that they require. Keep in mind that this is a model we are building to move onto other rural schools in the Swartland.
