Honoring the Backbone of The No-Stone Foundation

Posted on 4 March 20234 March 2023 by Admin

A Well-Deserved Day of Rest for No-Stone Ladies

As the head of The No-Stone Foundation in Kalbaskraal, I am honored to share that today, the backbone of our organization – the strong, selfless women who make up the bulk of our team – are taking a well-deserved day off. Despite the many challenges they face on a daily basis, including holding down full-time jobs to pay the bills, these amazing women volunteer their time to help those in need.

Today, some of our female volunteers have gathered together outside the village in Sea Point, to enjoy a picnic at the beautiful Green Point Park. Sadly, not all of our volunteers were able to make it to this event, but we hope to make it a regular occurrence so that everyone has the opportunity to recharge and rejuvenate. This is a day for them to relax, unwind, and enjoy each other’s company, away from the hardships they face in Kalbaskraal.

Our female volunteers are the heart and soul of The No-Stone Foundation. They bring a unique perspective and a deep compassion for others that drives our work forward. They understand the challenges that women face in impoverished communities and are committed to empowering them to create a better future. Despite the many obstacles they face, they remain steadfast in their commitment to helping others, and inspire us all with their strength, resilience, and courage.

We are grateful for everything our female volunteers do to help those in need, and for their unwavering support of our mission. We know that with their continued efforts, we can make a real difference in the lives of people in impoverished communities. Today, we celebrate them and thank them for their hard work and dedication, and we look forward to continuing our important work together.

No-Stone House

Has moved to Skool Street. Come and see Saskia's Place, the library or come and watch the reading programmes take place. OR if you would like to sit in at Jo's Cafe' a place of safety where young people can just come and be. We will start soon with out Saturday morning programmes.

Our Team

The team has a mix of youth and experience, energy and wisdom. The bulk of the team live in Kalbaskraal. Again, this is headed up by Heike (with 24 yrs of outreach ministry experience) and Mark (40 yrs of coaching at various levels and sports). We can then add Jo-Anne with her 30 years of ministry and outreach.

Our Relationships

We have strong relationships with many ministries and companies. Each supporting us in various ways and in Kalbaskraal and out. Our prime focus is to be a complete service provider for the local primary school OJ Erasmus, and sourcing any resources that they require. Keep in mind that this is a model we are building to move onto other rural schools in the Swartland.
