A Call to Rebuild and Empower
Dear Kalbaskraal Community,
Exciting times are ahead as The No-Stone Foundation, in collaboration with OJ Erasmus Primary School and the Goedgedaght Trust, embarks on a transformative journey to breathe new life into the long-neglected Klein Skooltjie. The once dormant building is set to become the vibrant hub of learning and community engagement, aptly named the No-Stone Campus.
With the Goedgedaght Trust taking charge of the lush gardens, planting both veggies and plants as part of their groundbreaking initiative, the venue is destined to blossom into a thriving center for education and growth. The No-Stone Foundation, true to its ethos, aims to augment OJ Erasmus Primary School with a diverse range of programs at the Klein Skool.
The No-Stone Campus will be a hub for reading and remedial reading for kids and adults, math classes, chess tournaments, netball camps, softball leagues, mentorship programs, and the future addition of a preschool to seamlessly feed into OJ Erasmus. This multi-year initiative is more than just education—it’s a community-driven effort to uplift and empower.
Now, here’s where you come in. The No-Stone Foundation operates on the principle of community empowerment. We are calling on individuals who are passionate about making a difference to join us. We need your commitment to be trained and contribute your skills to work with young and troubled children. Whether it’s teaching, mentoring, or assisting in various programs, your involvement will make a significant impact.
But that’s not all. Klein Skool needs your support to rebuild its foundations literally and figuratively. The building has been stripped bare by some in the village who took advantage of its emptiness. We are turning to the same community to help us rebuild it from the ground up. If you have spare toilet bowls, plumbing materials, electrical cabling, or components, your contribution will be invaluable. While our budget is limited, our determination is boundless—we’d rather invest in feeding the kids than buying a toilet.
