A Heartfelt Farewell and Warm Wishes to Jo-Anne

Posted on 17 August 202417 August 2024 by Admin

A well-overdue and late announcement—life, and sadly death, have had their say in our activities over the last couple of weeks. Despite the delay, we want to take this moment to share a notice, extend our thanks, offer blessings, and express both our sadness and joy.

It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Jo-Anne, who has been such a vital part of No-Stone, is no longer with us in her role as General Manager. Jo-Anne has taken on a new chapter in her journey, pouring her heart and soul into her ministry, Daily Bread Ministries. As her ministry continues to grow and demand more of her time and energy, she has made the difficult decision to step away from No-Stone.

While this is undoubtedly an immense loss for us, we choose not to lament but to celebrate the incredible impact Jo-Anne is making in the community we all love and are committed to developing and building. Her work with Daily Bread Ministries is nothing short of inspiring, and we are so proud of the difference she is making every single day.

Jo-Anne, you are a unique and special soul, and we are grateful for everything you have done for us and continue to do for the community. Though we miss you dearly, we are excited to see the fruits of your labor in this new season of your life. Your dedication, compassion, and relentless drive to serve others are truly remarkable, and we know that your ministry will continue to touch lives in profound ways.

We look forward to future collaborations and, as you so fondly put it, “cracking some heads” together again. Until then, we encourage everyone to support Jo-Anne and Daily Bread Ministries in any way you can, just as we intend to do.

Jo-Anne, you are the real deal, and I personally thank you for all you have done, all you have taught us, and all the love you have shared. Love and blessings, poppet.

No-Stone House

Has moved to Skool Street. Come and see Saskia's Place, the library or come and watch the reading programmes take place. OR if you would like to sit in at Jo's Cafe' a place of safety where young people can just come and be. We will start soon with out Saturday morning programmes.

Our Team

The team has a mix of youth and experience, energy and wisdom. The bulk of the team live in Kalbaskraal. Again, this is headed up by Heike (with 24 yrs of outreach ministry experience) and Mark (40 yrs of coaching at various levels and sports). We can then add Jo-Anne with her 30 years of ministry and outreach.

Our Relationships

We have strong relationships with many ministries and companies. Each supporting us in various ways and in Kalbaskraal and out. Our prime focus is to be a complete service provider for the local primary school OJ Erasmus, and sourcing any resources that they require. Keep in mind that this is a model we are building to move onto other rural schools in the Swartland.
